Nicaea Lake Harbor

About

Nicaea sat inland on Lake Ascania with no direct sea access, so its trade leaned on a harbor built out from the city's eastern shore. Observers have reported extensive stone foundations visible through the clear, shallow water, substantial enough to suggest real quay infrastructure rather than a simple landing. No excavation has published a construction date for the site. This marks an approximate placement along the ancient shoreline for a documented but undated harbor.
