About

The larger of Thuburbo Maius's two bathhouses, the Summer Baths spread across roughly 2,800 square meters of cold, warm, and hot rooms fed by three large cisterns. Records show the complex already needed restoration by 136 CE, placing its original construction in the early 2nd century. Emperor Constantius II rebuilt it again in 361 CE to revive the aging town. Its exact founding year was never recorded, so it is marked absent from the 117 CE map.
