About
An auxiliary fort at Micia doubled as an administrative post, with a beneficiarius station and a likely customs checkpoint on the western Dacian limes. Troops arrived here as early as Trajan's Dacian Wars, guarding the road and river route toward Partiscum on the Tisza. The beneficiarius post let the governor's staff at Apulum watch river traffic and tax collection at this crossing on the Mures. Milestones found nearby later record repairs to the Apulum-Micia road into the 3rd century.
