About
A beneficiarii consularis statio operated at Teregova, on the road through the Banat borderland between Dacia and Moesia. The post sat along a route Roman engineers opened after Trajan's conquest of Dacia in 106 CE, in the hill country approaching the Iron Gates of the Danube. Soldiers detached from the governor's staff here checked travelers and freight moving between the two frontier provinces. Votive material recovered at the site confirms the station's presence on this border road.
